[me] rror

Milan Design Week 2017

for borgi bastormagi

The object created for "sense-me" by SBODIO 32 for Milan Design Week 2017, questions the relationship of the body with its reflection.

While looking at yourself is another mundane activity; it is, in reality, a moment of connection with the self.

Seeing himself in parts, hiding other ones, [ me ] rror allows the user to reconstruct his own perception of himself through a scattered reflection of fragments.

The take on this product by the designers, shatters this view, highlighting parts of the whole and never the entire, allowing for

imagination to flow, pushing the user to create a different view of themselves.

[ me ] rror is designed with metal rods and surfaces. Partially geometric, partially sculptural, partially sleek, partially raw,

partially stable, partially fragile, it holds an urban edge, inspired by Beirut's urban landscape and signage. The design aims for equilibrium between its parts, a balance aimed for, daily, by the urban dweller.
